Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Fort Collins, CO (Hybrid: 2–3 Days Remote)

Stridar is revolutionizing humanitarian defense robotics, and we’re seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to help shape the future of life-saving technologies. This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative systems—including engines, batteries, and propulsion technologies—that enhance safety and save lives in challenging environments.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will lead the design, development, and integration of advanced electrical systems for our robotics platforms. From initial concepts to final production, you’ll work on projects that push technological boundaries and deliver real-world impact.

What You Can Expect to Handle:

  • Designing and developing electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and propulsion technologies.

  • Creating innovative solutions for propulsion systems, vehicle components, and advanced electrical boards.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with engines, batteries, and robotics platforms.

  • Leading the architecture and design of propulsion systems to meet performance and safety standards.

  • Supporting prototyping, field testing, and production readiness for cutting-edge systems.

  • Support the team by stepping into new responsibilities as organizational priorities shift.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Experience: 10+ years in electrical engineering, with 5+ years in an architectural or systems integration role.

  • Skills: Hands-on experience designing boards, propulsion systems, and vehicle components.

  • Industry Knowledge: Preferred experience in startups or industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or eBikes.

  • Passion: A strong enthusiasm for robotics and innovative technologies in challenging environments.

Additional Details:

This position is based in Fort Collins, CO, with a hybrid work schedule (2–3 days remote per week). Some travel (10–15%) may be required for testing, prototyping, and external collaboration.

Salary will be paid in the range of $100,000 - $130,000.  Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
